Workshops for Students
PREPARE YOUR COLLEGE APPLICATION TO STUDY ABROAD
As students give details of their expectations from a college education in a foreign country, they are guided through the various steps of the application process by making a list of prospective colleges, developing personal essays, and customizing each application according to the requirements of the foreign institution they select for their higher education.
ESSAY WRITING AND RESEARCH PAPERS
This workshop helps students in writing essays and research papers with clear thesis statements, supporting details, and effective conclusions. Students receive constructive feedback on individual tasks while developing research and critical analysis skills in building arguments for their thesis statement.
CREATIVE WRITING–FICTION AND NON-FICTION
Students share their creative writing samples in fiction and non-fiction with their peers and instructor. The aim of this workshop is to make students aware of their strengths as writers and help them develop their individual voice and writing technique. Students receive guidance through constructive reviews during each stage of the writing process.
EDITING AND PROOFREADING FOR PUBLISHING
This workshop focuses on the writing process with revision, editing, and proofreading as essential components. Students refine their grammar, usage, and punctuation skills as they edit and proofread successive drafts to publish their content.
